Always a rebel.
Always weird.

Around 2002, towards the end of my reign as the Catholic middle school trouble maker, my mother introduced me to a friend of hers that was a stained glass artist. I am unable to draw even a decent stick figure, but I have always loved anything crafty, and glass work seemed like it would be both a challenge and an outlet for creativity.

I began learning in her studio and we set up a small area at home so that I could continue to work on what I had learned. I was soon making small, simple pieces for friends and family. Many of which are still on display in my Grammy’s home and will be for centuries to come as she is an immortal alien.

I continued glass work into high school, but quickly became a real gem of a jerk and decided that I would rather do hood rat stuff with my friends than do arts and crafts. I stopped doing glass work around 2004 and I'm really not sure what became of all my tools and supplies because I was too busy being soOooOo cool.

I spent the next 17 years doing… I'm not even really sure what… doing life I guess. Lots of ups. Lots of downs. Lots of dumb tattoos. Lots of learning. Lots of “what in the fuck was I thinking”. Lots of fun.

In 2021, my dad called and said “I know what I want for Christmas…. Make me a Florida State Seminoles stained glass piece to hang in my condo.”   …  When I said “ummmm…dad…I haven’t done stained glass in almost 20 years”, his response was “Its fine… you’ll figure it out”. So… I got everything I needed… did a lot of figuring it out… and finished his piece on Christmas Eve like the procrastinator I am.

Over the next 2 years, we moved twice and everything stayed in boxes.

In the fall of 2023, an old friend yelled aggressively motivational things at me via text and snapchat until I finally got everything out, set it all up, and Weird Glass was born.
